Mining \/Plant\/Heavy Operations environment<\/li>\n<li>Essential\/Minimum Operational<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Psychometric Assessment (Essential\/Minimum)<br \/>\n\u2022 Certificate of Fitness (Essential\/Minimum)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>POSITION TASKS:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Best Practice and Knowledge Management<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Initiate continuous improvement initiatives leading to cost saving opportunities<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with other departments toward evaluating new technologies to improve process capabilities, product quality and throughput requirements<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct research, trend analyses, feasibility studies and benchmarking exercises<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compliance, Governance and Assurance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop\/maintain\/improve safe operational\/engineering standards and continuously review specifications\/schedules<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure equipment integrity maintained according to safety standards<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and related systems, aligned with safety standards\/Occupational Health\/Safety and Environment registers\/ International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 14000; 9000 and 18001 systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct timeous investigation of incidents and ensure adequate remedial action<br \/>\n\u2022 Execute\/drive safety programs<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective risk management by identifying hazardous activities and mitigation measures<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Manage internal and external relations, including interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that business needs are met, and employees are satisfied<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equipment Operations and Control<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Plan, implement and maintain electrical infrastructure reticulation and installations<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for design development\/maintenance of following processes: automation and protection systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective software control and security protocols on all networks<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop\/implement\/maintain system to ensure upkeep of electrical drawings\/diagrams\/ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals as well as network protection settings<\/p>\n<p><strong>Safe and Healthy Work Environment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adhere to all health and safety practices and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis<br \/>\n\u2022 Address all unsafe practices and potential hazardous situations, rectify\/report to superior<br \/>\n\u2022 Comply with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC)\/ \/technical requirements<br \/>\n\u2022 Wear applicable Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure effective delivery of service through high level maintenance\/specialised technical support<br \/>\n\u2022 Make recommendations to Business Unit (BU)\/Line Managers with regards to appropriate Electrical Engineering techniques<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct audits and inspections on installations\/equipment\/facilities<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct Project planning\/co-ordinate\/implementation<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct preventative maintenance\/ Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)\/trouble shooting\/root cause failure analysis<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure optimal equipment performance<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee cross functional training\/development of Artisans\/Technicians<br
