The position reports to Serial T&amp;C Engineering Manager.<\/p>\n<p><b>Department: Testing and Commissioning<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Vacancy:\u00a0<\/b>Test Engineer<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Purpose of the Job<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development, implementation and maintenance of test procedures for all train variants in accordance to train function and specifications<\/li>\n<li>Definition, specification and purchasing of all testing tools and infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Carry-out Infrastructure test sequences, either by self-performing and\/or by supervising the T&amp;C Technicians.<\/li>\n<li>Accurate management and maintenance of the testing tools, equipment, material and instruments<\/li>\n<li>T&amp;C process definition and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Support serial testing team in troubleshooting activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key responsibilities include the following<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect and Promote strict compliance with EHS rules, local regulation and AZDP<\/li>\n<li>Deploy standard T&amp;C processes<\/li>\n<li>Support T&amp;C management team<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a good working relationship with the other departments (Eng, Industrial Quality, Supply Chain)<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support and expertise to serial testing team<\/li>\n<li>Other job functions as required by management<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Develop appropriate risk analysis, mitigation plan and associated EHS procedures<\/li>\n<li>Development of test documentation, procedures in accordance with the applicable configuration<\/li>\n<li>Development of all necessary tools (physical and IT) required for test execution and test management<\/li>\n<li>Development and\/or adaptation of the facilities and infrastructure for test execution<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the timely deployment of test procedures, tools, infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper operation follow-up and establishment of relevant KPI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc (Electrical)(Eng) \/ BEng (Electrical) \/ BTech (Electrical) or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Min 2 years\u2019 experience in commissioning and testing of Electrical \/ Control \/ PLC systems within process industry, railways or factory automation.<\/li>\n<li>Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements<\/li>\n<li>Have a good understanding of key electrical and\/or mechanical processes (in particular earthing &amp; bonding, cabling, protection and instrumentation, \u2026)<\/li>\n<li>A solid understanding of power electronics will be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>IT proficient<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read electrical schematics and to write application software (if required).<\/li>\n<li>Ability to integrate across multi-disciplinary electrical activities (MV, Control &amp; Instrumentation, Protection, Software)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, simplifier of complex situation and\/or subjects<\/li>\n<li>Organized, rigorous and delivery focused (good problem solver)<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and willing to accept new roles<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Email your details to<\/strong> communication@gibela-rail.com<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Location:\u00a0Johannesburg, South Africa Company:\u00a0Alstom We create smart innovations to meet the mobility challenges of now and the future.
