Teacher’s Assistant & School General Assistant Applications – Phase 5 (2025)
Who Can Apply?
You must:
- Be 18–35 years old
- Be a South African resident (RSA ID, valid passport, or work permit)
- Live within 5km of the school (or 30km for farm schools)
- Be unemployed
- Not be studying (part-time/full-time) or in a learnership
- Not receive any government grants, salary, wage, or stipend
- Have no criminal record
- Not have unfair connections with school staff
- Have completed all compulsory training and received the relevant certificates
What Does a Teacher’s Assistant Do?
You will support teachers by:
- Assisting in teaching and classroom activities
- Helping with lesson planning and admin
- Setting up classroom displays and materials
- Supporting classroom discipline and behavior
- Assisting with after-school activities, school trips, and events
- Helping with exams and revision
