We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team! As a Material Handler, you’ll follow WMS and customer protocols for receiving, putting away, picking, and packing. This includes de-stacking pallets, checking inbound shipment paperwork, and labeling products. You’ll ensure accuracy in stock placement and picking, report any discrepancies, and maintain safety standards. Meeting daily quality standards for all warehouse processes is essential.
What you’ll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Following receiving, put away, picking and packing WMS and customer protocol in executing tasks
- De stacking of pallets in preparation for receiving
- Check inbound shipment paperwork from suppliers
- Labelling of product while receiving of stock
- Checklist document control adherence from Admin
- Put away to be done after receiving done and closed on system
- Stock to be put away in correct departments of warehouse per Hazchem class
- Applying correct labels in form of HU, DU, product ID, and dispatch labels throughout the warehouse product movement handling from receiving to picking to packing
- Picking of correct product and quantity from correct bin location that is indicated on the RF scanner following WMS protocol executed from admin office in WMS
- Picking to be recorded in hand over despatch control sheet
- Any discrepancies in any job function carried out reported to Admin and team leader
- Packing stock as per client and Hazchem specifications
- Stock take when required.
- Cycle counting
- Reporting of all safety incidents
- Comply with PPE standard
- Meeting daily required quality standard for receiving, put away, picking and packing.
Requirements

- Clear criminal record
Preferences

- South African candidates
- Experience: Warehouse Worker
- comp, RF scanner WMS experience
- Dangerous Goods Handling Certificates
- Forklift license, Reach truck and Order picker license
- Candidates between 18 and 65
