Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Artisan to join the Port Elizabeth team,
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty parts or components using hand and power tools.
- Install new machinery and equipment according to technical specifications and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Trade Tested Millwright,
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Artisan or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Plastics industry experience will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
